FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER - JUNE 10 Join us at the Philosophical Research Society on June 10 for an intimate gathering of music, food, and drinks to support the inaugural year of the Los Angeles Global Music Festival.This fundraiser will include presentations by leaders at the Resonance Collective, Numinous Music, and PRS, as well as performances of sacred Middle Eastern music with Yuval Ron, Balkan songs with Jessica Ng, and others. Attendees will have opportunities to learn more about this new event, get a preview of the festival experience, and meet artists and leaders from local music organizations exploring the intersection of musical and spiritual experiences. ABOUT THE LA GLOBAL MUSIC FESTIVAL - This September! The Los Angeles Global ( Or “Global LA”) Music Festival exists to inspire and nurture the collective spirit of Los Angeles and beyond by presenting culturally rich music and arts from around the world that expand and celebrate our understanding of them as a sacred experience. The first year of this new annual event will take place over one full day on Saturday, Sept. 9th at the Philosophical Research Society in Los Feliz. The festival will comprise concerts, workshops, panels, food and craft vendors, as well as activities for children led by internationally acclaimed musicians. In addition, there will be a headliner concert (performer to be announced) that night just down the road at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. We anticipate nearly 1,000 participants in the first year.
